The simple answer is no! We’re all about fun and enjoying a great day out with friends and family.
The Brinks Colour Run is open to all ages and abilities.
Whether you want to sprint, jog, walk or dance your way round the 5km course, the Colour Run is for everyone, however anyone under 12 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult.
The Colour Run is timed for anyone who wishes to know how quickly they complete the 5km, but the time isn’t really important, its all about the fun!
There are no age limits, if they can cover running, jogging, walking or strolling the 5km course, they can absolutely do the Brinks Colour Run! Anyone under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Children 5 or under receive free entry into the event but this does not include a t-shirt or race pack.
They are more than welcome to wear their own white t-shirts or even a costume! There is FREE face painting on the day of the event.
You can register as many people as you desire in one transaction! However, you must have their permission and our terms and conditions apply to everyone within your registered party.
An electrical signature requires you to manually type your registered name into the text box provided.
This will ensure us that you have read and agreed to our terms and conditions and entry policy.
Sorry - if the event is held as advertised, we cannot issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Just make sure you are good to go before signing up.
You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in to run, walk or skip around the 5km course.
However, we do encourage coloured tutu’s, wigs and coloured socks and accessories to add to the colour of the occasion.
All of our course is accessible, with a dedicated finish for wheelchair users, so everyone can enjoy. We suggest an all-terrain wheelchair and to bring a friend along who will be able to help you through more tricky parts of the course. For health and safety, we do ask wheelchair users and buggies to line up at the back of the start to avoid congestion.
Unfortunately not, due to safety reasons, the only wheels we allow at our events are prams and wheelchairs. Sorry!
For the safety of our runners and animal friends, we do NOT allow animals at any of our races.
Indeed, you can, but we do ask that buggies line up at the back of the start to avoid congestion. All children 5 and under can run with an adult FREE of charge!
We advise you arrive at 9.30 am for registration. Remember to bring your ticket as proof of entry for registration.

Our smiling team of ‘splashers’ are situated throughout the course and their main goal is to hand douse you with colourful powder, ensuring you look like you ran through a rainbow by the time you cross the finish line! Plus remember - you can purchase your own sachets of colour at the event to use before, after the run!
The coloured powder does wash out of your hair; however, we do recommend you take precautions if you are worried! The colour does tend to stick to lighter hair!Blondes you are warned! Oiling your hair before the run will help the colour wash out. If you’re having trouble washing it after the event, bi-carb soda and anti-dandruff shampoo will help get the more stubborn colour out!
Yes, there will be free wristbands handed out as a memento of the day
The colour mostly washes out after the event. However, as with anything dirty, the sooner the gear gets washed the better. Dust off all excess powder before washing with water and wash your coloured gear separately using cold water. We suggest wearing items that you would not mind getting colourful.
If you are covered in colour and if you do not take precautions, your car will be too. If you are driving bring something (towels, plastic bags, etc.) to cover the seats before you sit down.
If you want to get shots right in the midst of the colour we recommend covering cameras/phones with cling film or placing your phone in a zip lock bag.
The coloured powder used at the event is made from food-grade corn-starch. It is 100% natural and causes no harm to skin or the environment. As with any substance, you want to keep it out of your eyes and our colour throwers make sure to aim low as you pass by. Some Brinks Colour Runners opt to wear colourful glasses or goggles for their eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for their mouths.
